is a training and supported employment service for persons with mental retardation and/or related conditions.
In this Job Coach position, you will be training
and supervision workers at job sites in the community, however, you will also be training consumers within our facility on
subcontract work that we perform for industry. You will be working with our consumers in developing communication skills,
self care skills, basic living skills, developing leisure/recreation skills and in developing appropriate social skills and
behaviors. You will be responsible
for developing and implementing training goals and objectives for up to eight people for whom you will have primary responsibility.
You will be writing periodic reviews, as well as representing our agency at team planning meetings for your consumers, thus
you must have good oral and written communication skills. In this capacity, you should meet the "Designated Coordinator"
requirements which basically means that you would need at least an AA degree in a related field, as well as, related experience.
You will be aided in these areas by a Program Manager but the primary responsibility for the consumers' programs will be yours.
The hours for this position are basically from
7:45 AM to 4:15 PM, Monday through Friday, however, the hours could vary if you coach a crew working other hours. Salary for
the position depends on qualifications. Options pays 90% of the health insurance premium for the employee. Options also provides
dental insurance for the employee, as well as, a $25,000 life insurance policy, an accidental death and dismemberment policy
and long term disability insurance. There are nine paid holidays, as well as, Paid Time Off which is earned at a rate of 17
